Hope you all enjoyed the advertising agency workshop, and thanks once more to Stephen Cole! We have attached an image from Amelia on our Gallery page. This month, we are working on a Pop Art session, with an emphasis on techniques for creating glossy curved shapes in watercolour. Pop Art is essentially a movement which adopted showy iconic images from popular media - magazines, TV, films and adverts, then reassembled them to make us think, or sometimes just to make us laugh. People think of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, but British artists Paolozzi and Hamilton were among the first to strike out on this path. Image from Eduardo Paolozzi's BASH print below. The workshop video should be ready for members by Sunday 7th March.
