Ayrshire Young Arts has a 28 year history of providing creative activities for young people. As of April 2021, we have had to take the difficult decision to close down the organisation - more information on this appears on our News page. We are happy with what has been achieved, and we hope that you enjoy looking at our website, which is a record of just some of our activities over recent years. We aim to add some archive materials and to signpost other Young Arts activities.
For just one such resource, we suggest looking at the Courtauld Institute webpages, which deliver learning at a number of levels. Schools are also encouraged to engage through their schools programme.
Courtauld Family Activities
Ayrshire Young Arts is affiliated to 'The Arts Society'. It welcomes young people to share in the enjoyment of visual and performing arts. A network of groups throughout the UK organises an amazing array of activities and outings with an emphasis on enjoyment. Young Arts also provides a variety of opportunities on a national and international scale, including The Patricia Fay Memorial Fund, and Study Awards. Click the Arts Society logo above to find out more.
Our aims are: To stimulate a lively interest and lasting enthusiasm for all aspects of the arts and to promote confidence through creative activities, where each individual is valued.
Ayrshire Young Arts was started in 1993. Activities have varied from heraldry and theatre visits to making video diaries. It is run by volunteers with an interest in the arts.
The age range for members is 8 to 18.
